Agility
Agility is a competitive sport where the handler directs the dog through a pre set obstacle course based on speed and accuracy. Agility provides both physical and mental exercise and builds a strong bond with the handler over time.
Barn Hunt
Dogs and handlers work as a team to locate and mark rats (which are in aerated tubes) hidden in a maze of stray or hale bays. Barn hunt tests the nose, speed, agility and surefootedness of dogs that have a history of above-ground vermin hunting.
Conformation (Show)
This event is conducted to evaluate dogs to determine how closely the dog matches the breed standard. The dog is judged not on the other dogs in the ring but to the breed standard. The judge will examine the dogs overall structure (head, body, teeth, body, tail, overall breed appearance, gait and disposition.
Dog Disc
Experience the excitement of high-flying canine athletes at our Dog Disc events, where skilled dogs showcase their agility and teamwork in thrilling frisbee-catching demonstrations throughout the expo!
Dock Diving
Unleash the excitement with Dog Disc and Dock Diving! Watch dogs leap, soar, and splash in these thrilling, high-energy sports—perfect for showcasing their agility and drive.
Fast Cat
This is a fun way to engage your dogs natural instincts. It is an owner/handler sport where dogs race against the clock to chase a lure down a straight 100 yard track. The owner can either release or catch the dog. Points are accumulated to earn titles.
Health & Wellness
Wellness is an active and ongoing journey where owners and dogs strive to reach their full potential through a holistic approach that encompasses fitness, mental and social well being. Health and wellbeing are achieved by addressing conditions or injuries and managing recovery in a positive and supportive environment. Just like humans, our dogs are unique and balancing the physical with the social and emotional and their environment are key to their health and happiness.
Herding
Tests and trials are designed to preserve and develop herding skills inherent in the herding breeds and to demonstrate that they can perform the useful functions for which they were originally bred. Herding requires respect of all livestock by the dog while strategically maneuvering the stock for a specific purpose such as moving livestock into their pen for safety.
Nosework
Discover the power of your dog’s nose with the exciting sport of Nosework! This scent-based activity taps into their natural instincts, building focus, confidence, and teamwork as they search for hidden targets. It’s fun, rewarding, and perfect for dogs of all ages and abilities.
Obedience
Show off your dog’s skills and teamwork in the classic sport of Obedience! This precision-based activity highlights your dog’s ability to follow commands, stay focused, and work in harmony with you—building a strong bond and impressive manners along the way.
Rally
This activity is an owner/dog activity that encourages basic obedience skills such as sit, stay, down and here and is a course designed with signs that the team must walk and perform together. You can talk, praise and encourage your dog through the process.
Pulling
Get ready to be amazed by the strength and determination of dogs in the sport of Pulling! Watch as powerful pups pull carts and weights with incredible focus and drive. It’s a thrilling showcase of canine athleticism and teamwork you won’t want to miss!
Speedway
This is a CPE sponsored event that dogs run through a course designed with hoops and barrels. No jumping or weaving required. Tons of fun!
Test and Titling
Come watch owners and their dogs test for Canine Good Citizen, Canine Community and various Trick Dog titles. An AKC, PAL or number is needed to be awarded a title by AKC.
