The Herding Group comprises breeds developed for moving livestock. This can include sheep, cattle, ducks and even reindeer. Herding dogs work in harmony with their human shepherds, and their natural intelligence results in quick training. The high levels of energy found in the Herding Group breeds means having a job and/or sport is recommended so they do not begin herding children or show signs of boredom at home.
